A canal towpath. Summer. It is hot – scorchingly, deliriously, crack-open-the-tinnies-at-2pm kind of hot.

For a small boat-dwelling community, the days slide by like fat swans on the water. But then the caravan arrives. And then the woman. And then a gaggle of actual swans. Then amongst all of this, things begin to go missing…

The Arrivals is a playful, lyrical exploration of what happens when one fraction of society rubs up against another, who we trust and who we don’t, and asks why people become afraid of those that seem vulnerable.

The Arrivals and The Sloe Pickers play as a double bill and are both presented by adult graduates of the TRB Theatre School, directed by Bryn Holding.

Catherine O'Dea-Hughes Chippenham/Travel Anywhere, United Kingdom
