Son Of A Carpenter is a 1980s coming-of-age comedy-drama set in the mysterious 'Rhubarb Triangle' under the mushroom cloud of mutually assured nuclear destruction. This romp around Thatcher-era Yorkshire interrogates friendship, family, the Catholic Church and politics. It features twins who speak only ABBA couplets, a domesticated Shetland pony called Shrapnel and a mischievous sentient squirrel...all soundtracked by 1980's glamorous indie rock'n'roll and, of course, The Carpenters.
