Role of RACHEL in feature TWELFTH DAY, a heartfelt comedy about two distant siblings who are forced to spend a weekend together to complete a treasure hunt left for them by their deceased mother.
RACHEL is the ex girlfriend of main character Gwen. She is peppy, smart, unknowingly self centred.
Rachel appears in the pivotal opening scene; she is moving out of the house that she shared with Gwen after an eight year relationship. Rachel, negligently, takes all the help she can from Gwen in moving - wrapping, packing, shifting boxes etc - unaware that Gwen still loves her and is silently hurting but will still do anything for Rachel, even in the final moments of watching Rachel leave to start afresh with her new girlfriend.
A very naturalistic, filmic performance is required to portray Rachel. I'm looking for an actor who can give an extremely believable performance and can do an AUTHENTIC and genuine-sounding south west accent. Please do not apply if you cannot do this.
