Coach Jean-Luc (Working Title) (Short film)
In the intense chaos of a community league 5-a-side football game, coach Nick is hit on the head and knocked out. When he wakes up, he inexplicably believes he’s the famous icon of the French New Wave cinema movement, Jean-Luc Godard. At the height of the game, this unusual replacement must guide the team to victory using some avant-garde methods.
Team captain. Like Nick, football is his life, but lately he’s been distracted thinking about his future. Too similar to Nick for the two of them to get on very well, the pair frequently argue. This patience is pushed to its limit when Nick first becomes ‘Godard’, but as the game goes on Rob begins to respect him and discovers a newfound respect for Nick himself.
