Background

Cahootify has been cleared by the DWP to offer eight roles on the government’s Kickstart Programme. There is a lot of potential crossover in the roles we’re offering so please express interest in the one that is the closest fit. In reality, the way we share work among the “Kickstart Squad” will be a collaborative affair that considers the individual and complementary strengths of each person on the team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in filmmaking and video editing to create engaging instructional “how-to” videos for the Cahootify web app. We’re seeking to make these videos snappy and engaging as well as informative.

The video tutorial creator will be:

• Learning the Cahootify software in depth in order to be able to transfer that knowledge to our members.
• Working with the Head of Product to define “how-tos” to be created.
• Considering/planning ways to make the videos engaging and entertaining as well as educational.
• Creating a future-proof template structure for “how to” videos that will allow for easy updating and creation of new lessons as the software develops.
• Creating an initial series of actual “how to” videos for common Cahootify tasks/use cases.

Basic Requirements

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut.
• Experience with screen capture software such as Camtasia or ScreenFlow would be helpful but is not essential.
• Examples of previous work to show (could be uni projects, for example).
• Experience in a similar role in the industry would be helpful but is not essential.
• Able to work remotely.
• Good internet connection and access to Zoom for video calls.
