Croak (Short film)
A disgraced television presenter forms a pact with a desperate stanger.
'CROAK' will be an approx 12-14 min drama with hints of black comedy.
Logline: A disgraced television presenter (Woman, 40's/50's) forms a pact with a desperate stanger (Man, late 20's/30's).
It’s a story which twists and turns, with dark secrets revealed and what I hope will be a dramatic, memorable and thought provoking ending. The film revolves around some taboo subjects so the film has the potential to split people and form strong opinions either way...
The film is predominantly a 'two hander' and I think the pairing of having an older woman with a younger man opens up some very interesting possibilities in an often less seen partnership.
Once complete, It's my intention to submit to festivals worldwide including BAFTA/OSCAR qualifying ones.
I'm looking for a Co-Producer to join the project. The film has been commissioned by Exeter Phoenix and will premiere at their Two Short Nights Film Festival in February 2023. They've given £1500 towards the production of the film.
Ideally i'm looking for someone who is based in the South West, and knowledge of Devon is particularly advantageous as that is where filming will be taking place.
It would involve securing location permissions, assisting during the casting process, helping to organise the shoot and ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Filming dates are TBC but will be either late August or Mid/Late September. I'd anticipate it being a three day shoot.
Anyone interested must have previous experience producing short films, it potentially could act as a nice step up working on a partially funded project.
