C4RG0 (Short film, 2022)

The last crew member of a deep space delivery hauler, C4RG0 goes about their routine until the ship finally loses power. Finding solitude in the face of inevitable shutdown, lost in the farthest reaches of space with no purpose,  C4RG0 finds new ways to live.

Produced under the confines of a world emerging from COVID, this film was my final major project as a student at Screenology in Bristol. Directed and written by Benjamin Butson, the film was animated and rendered in Blender using Cycles, interpolated using RIFE, and composited using After Effects. Sound design from Jack Eastman and Alex Garbutt. Rendered with the community from SheepIt, and heroically lended equipment from Tommy Black.
