Definitely past his youth on the outside, Harvey is in a void in his life. So Harvey turns to the world of online fame as a way into a better existence. Online he becomes DJ Harvest - the most street, original and ingenious creator of musical sounds since someone he's never heard of. Except he's absolutely not that at all. He's all talk, and even his talk is bad.

Harvey has entrusted the help of his mate Paul to film the vlogs. He owns a camera, so he's perfect for the job.

It's a fantasy, a fallacy and a farce. But can he somehow harvest a new life from pure pretence?

Love and learning + expenses

Based in Frome/Somerset, United Kingdom

Harvey is an everyday kind of guy who is reinventing himself to be a lot cooler, more confident, and more 'street' than he is. But it's a bit of a deluded, small-scale midlife crisis. On his video channel he is 'DJ Harvest'. He posts videos about his new tunes and his apparent genius. However, Harvey isn't at all like DJ Harvest, and it shows. And he hasn't exactly got the support of those closest around him.

I'm looking for a subtle, understated performance, not overtly comedic or clowning. I want the audience to question whether he's for real or not, until the end where it's revealed.

Comedy experience preferable. A short self-tape will be requested from a shortlist of applicants. Ideally looking to cast someone in the South West. Please use the word trousers somewhere in your application to show you've read this section.
