Recipient of a First Class BA Honours Degree in Film Studies at Falmouth University. Currently reading for an MA in Film and Television at the University of Bristol. I am a published journalist, journalism editor, and varied filmmaker. I have experience with camerawork, editing, sound recording, and directing having been involved in various documentary, experimental, and narrative film projects.
I have interviewed filmmakers Jamie Adams (director of Songbird and Black Mountain Poets), the Blaine brothers (directors of Nina Forever), and Alex Crowton (co-director of The Sad & Beautiful World of Sparklehorse) - all established, independent filmmakers with great advice on how to break into the industry. These journalism projects have enabled for me to learn from key industry professionals.
